UV-RESISTANT ABS

In order to completely prevent corrosion, the housing and cover grills are made of fiber-reinforced ABS. The housings are injection-molded in one piece around the magnet systems, so that the latter are perfectly and completely protected. The ABS is UV-resistant, and will not be subject to color deterioration.

TWEETER PROTECTION

A PTC protective element is incorporated into the loudspeaker in order to protect the tweeter against overloading. This automatically absorbs excess energy and ensures the sound quality of the tweeter even at extreme volumes.

TITANIUM DOME

This extremely light and strong material originally developed for space technology is used as the tweeter membrane. Due to its extreme rigidity, partial vibrations are reduced to a minimum. The result is a very linear frequency transition with excellent efficiency levels, all within the smallest possible dimensions.

INPUT CONNECTION TERMINALS

The connection terminals are gold-plated for better conductivity and protection against corrosion. This also enables the use of larger gauge wiring.

VOICE COIL PROTECTION

The highly flexible tinsel lead wires are protected against water by a protective Polyurethane sheath. This protection prevents corrosion at this highly sensitive point, considerably increasing the life of the system.

SUBWOOFER

The MB QUART subwoofer has generous power handling of 150 W, making it one of only few woofers worldwide designed for such extreme, outdoor requirements.

INSTALLATION

The comprehensive range of accessories includes self-adhesive installation templates to facilitate cutting the required installation apertures, and the V4A rustproof, stainless steel screws guarantee a perfect fit.
